1982 marked the birth of this Bordeaux blend, which quickly developed into one of Italy’s wine icons thanks to its outstanding characteristics. Cabernet Sauvignon takes the lead with a 60% share, complemented by 30% Carménère and 10% Merlot. The San Leonardo, often referred to as the "Sassicaia of the North", is aged in barriques and 500-litre oak barrels. On October 25, 2025, 17-point Gault&Millau chef Bernd Fabian will prepare an exquisite six-course menu, perfectly paired with eight exceptional wines from this renowned Trentino-based winery. The evening will be hosted by our sommeliers Daniel Eisner and Thomas Monsberger, together with an expert from the Tenuta San Leonardo estate.
