Samnaun is not only a popular destination for sports enthusiasts in winter: the beautiful mountain landscape can be explored at least as well on bikes as on skis. The exploration tour is even faster with e-bikes!
So get on the saddle and off you go over the mountains! Whether over steep and stony mountain flanks, natural and sustainably cultivated single trails or passable forest and woodland paths, here one adventure follows the next: the Silvretta Arena is not only known as the largest connected ski area in the Eastern Alps, but also as a true biking paradise. Over a total distance of more than 80 km, numerous cross-border bike routes run between Samnaun in Switzerland, Ischgl in Austria and the beautiful Engadin. Some of the tours' most beautiful vantage points are at almost 3000 metres above sea level. If you want to keep your breath away up here just because of the breathtaking view, you can use e-bikes for longer excursions. This allows sports enthusiasts to get up the mountain much faster, higher and further than with conventional bikes.
Guests at Chasa Montana can borrow Bulls e-bikes (hardtails) free of charge from ZEGG Sport & Mode during their stay. E-bikes (fullys) from Bulls and Thömus can also be rented at a special price. You'll see - soon you'll know the Silvretta Arena like the back of your hand.
Exclusively for Chasa Montana guests, the hotel's own bike school offers a weekly two-hour e-bike beginners' course.

GOOD TO KNOW
This is how it works:
- You can reserve your e-bike with us before your arrival. To do this, please tell us your height so that we have the right bike ready for you. It is usually sufficient to reserve your e-bike the day before or to collect it directly from ZEGG Sport & Mode early in the morning from 9:00 am.
You can only reserve your electric bike for 1 day at a time; when you return it, you then have the option of booking it for another day.
The bike must be collected by you personally from ZEGG Sport & Mode by 10:00 am at the latest on the day of the reservation. After that, the reservation expires and the bike is passed on. After 10:00 am you can pick up your bike while stocks last! - You get a short introduction and off you go!
The free rental of the e-bike is at your own risk! ZEGG Hotels AG and ZEGG Geschäfte AG accept no liability for accidents or for the loss of the bike or personal belongings. Each renter must be in possession of a valid personal accident and liability insurance. The e-bike is not insured, the renter must have his/her own insurance.
Please note that although the e-bike makes biking much easier, the mountain environment still has its dangers. Always adapt your speed to your ability! Make sure that you always choose the route and always conserve the battery so that it is sufficient for the return journey to Samnaun. Our staff at ZEGG Sport & Mode will be happy to give you tips. - The rented bike is in perfect condition and must be returned in the same condition (apart from dirt and normal wear and tear). Any damage to the e-bike such as brakes, rear derailleur, fork, frame, wheels, saddle, etc. (the list is not exhaustive) will be charged to the user.
The loss of a lock will be charged to the renter at CHF 25.
The rental of e-bikes to young people under the age of 16 is only permitted under the supervision and consent of the legal representative, who also assumes all liability. - The e-bikes must be returned to ZEGG Sport & Mode before 5:00 pm each day after the bike day for the following reasons:
- The bikes are serviced and charged by us daily.
- We do not have enough capacity to park many bikes in the hotel car park and the underground car park of the Chasa Montana. (During the day, the bikes can be parked on the hotel grounds).
- We would like to prevent bikes from being on free hire on days when they are not being used.
- If your e-bike is not returned after every single bike day, we charge a daily fee of CHF 25.
- On Sundays, we open our shop ZEGG Sport & Mode at 10:00 am. We therefore ask you to collect your e-bike for the Sunday morning tour by 6:30 pm at the latest on Saturday and lock it in the Chasa Montana bike garage. Alternatively, you can collect your reserved e-bike on Sunday from 10:00 am, then while stocks last.
